Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, son, and brother of Willow Smith, is the former Karate Kid and After Earth actor. He also featured in a memorable Justin Bieber Jaden Smith music collaboration in, Never Say Never.
Sadly, the shadow of his father will always hang over him. If you look at his lifestyle, you will notice that being surrounded by celebrities has a major impact on his life. Yet Jaden Smith strives to be an icon. He is also known as mononmously as Jaden, an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor.
Today Jaden Smith is continuing to fight against homelessness. He is expanding his ‘I Love You food truck,’ which was launched in the Los Angeles Skid Row area and Harlem, New York City, back in 2019. He is now opening a full-blown restaurant to feed the homeless. The restaurant will provide free vegan meals to those in need.
Talking about his project with Variety, Jaden said that anyone could order from the restaurant, yet if they are not homeless, they have to pay more than the food’s worth to pay for the next person who can’t pay.
Jaden has several projects that he has been involved in, with activists also owning the JUST Water company that placed a water filtration system in Flint, Michigan, about two years prior.
Jaden also headed 501CTHREE.org’s Water Box project to provide clean water to communities. His website reveals the locations of four Water Boxes in Flint, where the primary water system was contaminated with lead.
Jaden is known for his own opinions and has never been afraid to speak about what is on his mind regarding things like American public schools and social media.
Around 2013, at the age of 15, the home-schooled Jaden stated that “If everybody in the world dropped out of School we would have a much more intelligent society.”
The following year, during an interview alongside his sister Willow, he told the New York Times: “It’s proven that how time moves for you depends on where you are in the universe. It’s relative to beings and other places. But on the level of being here on earth, if you are aware in a moment, one second can last a year.”
He has also talked about prana energy in babies. He said that when one thought goes into your mind, it is not just that one thought, as it has to bounce off both hemispheres of the brain. Going on to say when you think about an apple, you also think about the opposite of an apple.”
Jaden and Willow were mocked after that interview was published. Billboard called them “totally bonkers,” ABC said they were “outrageous,” and Time called them “weird.” However, the people most exasperated by Jaden’s anti-establishment remarks weren’t those who disagree with him but actually those who agree.
