Spread the word

“I’ve always envied people who sleep easily. Their brains must be cleaner, the floorboards of the skull well swept,
all the little monsters closed up in a steamer trunk at the foot of the bed.”
― David Benioff, City of Thieves

Sometimes we all have those restless nights of tossing and turning, where counting sheep does not quite seem to cut it, or even those nights where you only get a few hours and lie awake staring at the ceiling. We all know how a lack of a good night’s shuteye affects us poorly, making the day ahead of an uphill battle with low energy levels and declined motor skills to mention a few. Scientist has also proven how a lack of sleep is linked to health problems like diabetes and obesity.

There are a few alternatives to help with insomnia, but when you start weighing up the side effects of taking prescription medication, you can’t help thinking that staring at the ceiling is maybe not so bad after all. Insomnia can be caused by several reasons such as an unhealthy diet, mineral deficiencies, anxiety and stress, emotional trauma, and your lifestyle. There are natural ways of overcoming sleeplessness that includes spending more time in nature and less on your computer and mobile.
